Cut into a passe-partout are sixteen windows, eight of which display photographs of the high mountains of the Pyrenees. The other eight are backed with laid paper, embossed with differently shaped plates. The shadows cast by the pressed edges create lines that can be interpreted in a number of ways: as paths, contour lines, borders …
The relief is limited to a few millimetres. The work is an attempt to abstract the relationship between photograph and relief.
